Federal & National Emergency Management Training
Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP)
The Center for Domestic Preparedness provides advanced, all-hazards training to approximately 60,000 emergency responders annually from state, local, tribal, and territorial governments, as well as the federal government, foreign governments, and private entities, as available. The scope of training includes preparedness, protection, and response.
National Disaster & Emergency Management University (NDEMU)
NDEMU brings together emergency management professionals, strategic thinkers, policymakers, academics, and researchers to create a comprehensive training, professional development, and education continuum. This continuum will support professionals from the beginning of their careers to the most senior executive levels, addressing training and education gaps and elevating the field into a recognized profession.
National Disaster Preparedness Training Center (NDPTC)
The NDPTC is a member of the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (NDPC), which was expanded in 2007 to address all-hazards capabilities by the addition of the University of Hawai`i. The NDPTC is authorized to develop and deliver training and educational programs related to homeland security and disaster management, with a specific focus on natural hazards, coastal communities, and the special needs and opportunities of islands and territories. The NDPTC actively engages internally with FEMA and the University of Hawai`i, as well as with external partners across the region to integrate the delivery of its trainings, products, and services.
National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (NDPC)
The mission of the NDPC is to enhance the preparedness of federal, state, local, territorial and tribal emergency responders/first receivers and teams, including non-governmental organizations and the private sector, to reduce the Nation’s vulnerability to incidents involving weapons of mass destruction, terrorism, and all-hazard high-consequence events by developing, delivering, and assessing plans, training, technical assistance, and exercises
National Fire Academy (NFA)
NFA provides specialized training courses and advanced management programs for middle- and top-level fire officers, fire service instructors, technical professionals, and representatives from allied professions.

Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) Training
TDEM offers a diverse curriculum of emergency management and hazardous materials training for Texas emergency responders, as well as state, local and regional officials and volunteer organizations active in disasters. Visit PreparingTexas.org to browse, register for and manage their classes here. Search the TDEM catalog of over 1,000 courses available both in and out of the state. These courses are available to both internal and external customers.
